Alaina Archuleta

A Winner!

Alaina Archuleta recently won $100 in Native Threads goods in our online drawing. She is a member of the Kaibab Paiute Tribe in Northern Arizona. Alaina was born and raised in Denver, CO and currently resides in Alexandria, VA. She made the big move to the East Coast one year ago and is still learning all the ins and outs, but she loves it! Alaina works for the National Indian Gaming Association headquartered in Washington, DC, as the Casino & Industry Relations Liaison. She works with the Tribal Casinos and NIGA's Associate Members across the nation. Alaina takes great pride in working for an organization that provides assistance to the Tribes across the nation, helping them to become and remain self-reliant communities. Other Indian organizations She has worked with after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Northern Colorado, include the American Indian College Fund and Council of Energy Resource Tribes.

Shane Thomas

A Winner!

Shane Thomas of Tokeland, Washington, is the newest winner of Native Threads’ monthly online drawing. Congratulations on your prize—$100 in free Native Threads gear! Shane works as a Youth Development Specialist for the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation. His goal is to keep Native Youth away from the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol, after winning his personal battle with substance abuse more than four years ago. Shane is now the proud father of four beautiful boys, and is looking forward to starting a new family life with his fianceé, Tanya. The team at Native Threads applauds Shane’s dedication to the children of the Shoalwater Bay Reservation.

Jessica Imotichey

A Winner!

Jessica is an urban Indian living "incognito" in Washington DC with her sister, Chelsea, and her two children, Miko and Hannah. They arrived in DC two years ago from the great state of Oklahoma. Go Sooners! Jessica has a Masters Degree in Public Health, Health Administration & Policy, from the University of Oklahoma. She works as a Policy Analyst for Indian Health Service. Each day, Jessica makes a conscious effort to seek ways to improve the health of Native people and our Indian communities. Although she is a long way from home, she always carries the feeling, sights, and smell of Blue River with her wherever she goes. For those not familiar with this region, Blue River runs through her home place, near Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Tawny Osuna


Tawny is a very friendly, outgoing person, and she's interested in pursuing a career in fire fighting technology. She regularly attends powwows in the Southwest, which is where she discovered Native Threads. Tawny is also expecting her first child, and we wish her the best of luck. SheÕll be able to stock up on the NEW Native Threads onesies and baby bibs featured in our upcoming 2004 Fall / Holiday Catalog
