Alaina Archuleta recently won $100 in Native Threads goods in our online drawing. She is a member of the Kaibab Paiute Tribe in Northern Arizona. Alaina was born and raised in Denver, CO and currently resides in Alexandria, VA. She made the big move to the East Coast one year ago and is still learning all the ins and outs, but she loves it! Alaina works for the National Indian Gaming Association headquartered in Washington, DC, as the Casino & Industry Relations Liaison. She works with the Tribal Casinos and NIGA's Associate Members across the nation. Alaina takes great pride in working for an organization that provides assistance to the Tribes across the nation, helping them to become and remain self-reliant communities. Other Indian organizations She has worked with after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Northern Colorado, include the American Indian College Fund and Council of Energy Resource Tribes.
