Dear Native Threads:
On behalf of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development and our president Ken Robbins, I send you a very large THANK YOU for everything that you did to assist us with our FALA event. We really appreciate all of the time, resources, and kindness that you were able to contribute. The feedback from the masses was very positive regarding NATIVE THREADs’ booth, raffle, contributions, and support at FALA. Your current campaign is a very good fit for our current event themes. Having you there added credibility to our mission. We hope that you received good value from the experience.
WWII Navajo Code Talker, Joe Kellwood received $600 from the raffle. The National Center’s Scholarship fund received $250. Mr. Kellwood was overjoyed with his monetary gift and talked non-stop about it all the way home. He talked about how that money will help him with all of the medical bills that he has to pay for his wife. We also paid him a fee of $250 for his appearance. So he was a happy man and I think we made his millennium. He also did not know he was going to receive an award. So he was delighted with that surprise as well. So, our mission was accomplished. We should all feel proud that we could do something so nice for Mr. Kellwood.
