Native Threads’ Founder / CEO, Rudy Rojas, recently announced that Native Threads has been awarded a contract from the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) to design a new corporate identity for the Museum’s National Powwow.
“We are very proud that we were chosen by NMAI to develop a logo for their National Powwow,” Rojas said. “In addition to the new powwow logo, our team will be producing a series of advertisements, posters and flyers to help promote the powwow, scheduled to take place August 12-14, 2005 at the MCI Center in Washington, DC. Judging by all the fanfare and excitement that was generated by the Museum’s Grand Opening, the National Powwow is sure to be a very special event.”
According to Rojas, Native Threads’ recent design and marketing support of the American Indian Society of Washington, DC’s Inaugural Ball helped showcase the company’s creative services to the DC area. Native Threads’ creative department developed postcards, invitations, and posters for the Inaugural Ball, which took place on January 20, 2005. Native Threads also designed and screenprinted commemorative tee shirts for the Ball. The shirt design featured a stylized feather quill and a subtle silhouette of the Capital Building. The shirts were available for purchase to those who attended the historic event.
